Marshall Community Comes Together to Honor Veteran and Celebrate Outdoor Freedom Through America 250 Event
MARSHALL, Minn. — The Action Foundation, in partnership with U.S. Bank and VAREP – Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals, will host an America 250 Celebration and Trackchair Giveaway honoring a deserving veteran on Tuesday, June 30, at ATZ Manufacturing in Marshall.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the official ceremony beginning at noon.
Hosted at ATZ Manufacturing, the event will celebrate America’s upcoming 250th birthday by recognizing a veteran and highlighting the power of community partnerships that help expand outdoor accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges.
“This event is about more than presenting a piece of equipment,” said Audra Klinkner, Executive Director of The Action Foundation. “It’s about restoring freedom, independence, and access to the outdoors. We’re honored to come together as a community to support a veteran and celebrate what can happen when organizations work together to remove barriers.”
The Trackchair giveaway reflects the growing national conversation surrounding outdoor accessibility and adaptive recreation for veterans and individuals with disabilities. The Action Foundation has become a leading voice in expanding rural outdoor access through initiatives like the Tow & Go Program and its involvement in the national Outdoor Accessibility Coalition.
The event also comes as momentum continues to grow around the Veterans Outdoor Rehabilitation Act, recently introduced in the U.S. Senate by Senators Kevin Cramer, Maggie Hassan, John Boozman, and Elissa Slotkin. The proposed legislation would help support adaptive outdoor rehabilitation opportunities for veterans across the country.
The Minnesota Pork Producers Association will provide lunch for attendees, and the event is being held in partnership with the Marshall Area Chamber and Business During Hours.
Community members, veterans, local leaders, and supporters are invited to attend and help make the veteran’s visit to Marshall one to remember.
